Tanya reads on her couch with candles lit. She waves off a pestering fly and notices a bunch on the table and the walls.
She goes to visit Ray in his tent. It's the middle of the night. She explains about the infestation. He suggests there's a dead rat in the floorboards. She thinks the universe is trying to tell her she is dead meat. Her boyfriend has disappeared, her house is full of flies and now she's worried that Ray's going to disappear too. He reassures her that she's not dead meat.
At a fancy restaurant at lunch Lenore is pointing out fancy women whose husbands are too old to get an erection to Ray. She's offering specific women for dates. He asks what about Tanya? Lenore wonders what about her. Ray admits she has flaws but they can't cut her loose. She says they can. He suggests a team. She tells him he has to choose.
Later working on his house he feels guilty about betraying Tanya. As he pulls back wall boards he finds honeycombs.
At school he asks his asst. coach Mike about it. Mike has no idea but is more concerned about the list of everyone getting fired, he's heard his name is on it. Ray offers to go find out what's going on.
Jessica and Lenore get side by side massages. Lenore thinks Jess is glum. Jessica admits that she no longer feels like she has the power. She says she knows how to get what she wants but once she has it she forgets why she wanted it. Lenore suggests she take charge of her vagina, because when it's not charged properly, like a battery, it gets weak. Jessica laughs. Lenore asks about her sex life. Jessica says she didn't have sex the previous week. Lenore says she needs a sex therapist. Not a talking therapist but a gigolo. Lenore tells her it's what she needs and she has a right to feel desirable. Jessica says she's conservative. Lenore says she'd be surprised at what she might do to avoid getting divorced.
In Ron's office an old friend from high school is getting a mole checked out and flirting. He goes to check out her mole and it's on her inner thigh. He gets right up on it.
Ray goes to visit the principal about "the list." She confirms that Mike, the asst. coach, is about to get laid off, as are 70 percent of other teachers, including Ray. He'll be able to re-apply for his job again in a few months. But without benefits. He can't believe it, he has tenure.
He takes the kids and their dates to a horror movie. Damon asks if he's going to get fired. He says no. But that he might get temporarily laid off. Damon wonders what they're going to do. Ray says it takes a lot to knock him down and not to worry. He says he's looking into a lead right now and just has to set it in motion.
As Ray goes to get Milk Duds, Damon's boyfriend puts his arm around him and kisses him on the cheek. Damon gets nervous. The boyfriend is mad that Damon never wants to mess around even when they're alone. Damon says he'll understand if the guy wants to break up, it won't hurt his feelings. He tells Damon to stop messing with his head and calls him "straight boy." He leaves. Damon follows, Darby follows Damon.
Ray calls Tanya outside the theater and tries to tell her and then chickens out.
Darby consoles Damon and tells him she loves him.
Ray then calls Lenore and admits he couldn't dump Tanya. He tells her they're going to do it his way since he's in control of the supply side of the supply/demand chain.
Tanya meets Lenore at a park. Lenore tells them that all three of them will be running happiness consultants. Tanya says no. Lenore says it's a good deal for Tanya and that they all bring strengths to the table: a business head, ethics, and a big dick. They argue and Tanya walks away.
Back at his house Ray is cutting out the honeycombs and voicing over about all the things he wanted but couldn't have. Mrs. Koontz arrives with a jar. She wants him to "fill up my honey jar." She claims she wants to make a carrot cake. He tries to beg off. She says sometimes it's good to forget your problems and to have sex for a little while. So they do, as he drizzles honey on her. As they are doing it, Tanya drives up and overhears Mrs. Koontz climaxing. She wonders who's client it is. Mrs. Koontz runs off. Ray runs after Tanya and explains it's his next door neighbor. He says he's going to have sex for fun from time to time. She freaks out and starts attacking him and her car. She asks what she is to him and says he doesn't know what it means to be a friend.
Ray takes her to a restaurant for lunch. She eats a hot dog and complains about men. He tells her he's going to get laid off. She apologizes. He says he'll manage. She says they need to focus and things will work out. He tells her she's got a good soul but he needs a professional. He says it'll be kind of like a threesome. She says Lenore's a bottom feeder who can't truly understand happiness. Ray wants to bring happiness into the world too but for now he says he'll settle for making a living.
We cut to Ray at a fancy hotel bar. Lenore explains the client is a natural blonde with a great body and lousy life and is kind of nervous. It's Jessica. (In trench coat and sunglasses.) He voices over that there are moments in life when you realize God is joking.
Jessica's phone rings. It's Ray. He's running up the stairs as he talks. He asks how she's doing. She asks what he wants as she enters the room and wonders if it's about the kids. He tells her she's a pretty good mom. And he says he thinks he's a pretty good dad. She wonders why he's saying all this. He says he doesn't know, sometimes it's just good to tell people the truth. They pause in their conversation. She looks in the mirror. He stands outside and gets teary and thanks her for picking up the phone. She says she has to go, that her mother is waiting for her. He says to tell her mom that he said hi. He leans on the door as she hangs up. She sits on the bed. He walks away.
He goes home, sits by his lake and eats from a honey jar. He voices over that he used to have a family and now all he has is a dick, a dick and a dream.
Tanya reads a book and notices a fly again, she kills the fly with the book. (The book is "Women Who Run With The Wolves.")
