I saw this film just recently. It is great to see a film that is covering all aspects of a contemporary topic. Right now RI is debating the prostitution law that is covered in this film.
I enjoyed this film, it opened my eyes to something we have all heard about but probably never really understood. I am sure everyone knows the term Happy Ending.
The film starts off with a very intense hidden camera scene from inside a massage parlor. After that scene we get to hear from all those who are involved in the debate about the prostitution law in RI. Politicians, police, residents, "johns", newspaper publishers, are all interviewed, but the women who work in the spa are the most interesting to follow and hear.
The film ends with a big shock, and when you leave theater of shut off the DVD you will question what should we do with these women? Besides hearing from the women, I think the Rhode Island accents actually add flavor to the film. Don't watch this film if you like the letter "r" or proper English. Some of these people talk like they have marbles in their mouths. I have a feeling with a cast of characters like this, there is a high likely hood that this film will end up a cult classic.
