A light lesson in courage
JordanThomasHall20 February 2017
John (William Windom) and Ellen Monroe (Joan Hotchkis) have hired a new maid named Mrs. Simkins (Queenie Smith). Mrs. Simkins has an aversion to electricity and gets off to a bad start with John who wants her dismissed. Ellen and the Monroe's daughter Lydia (Lisa Gerritsen) go away for the weekend, leaving John with the elderly maid. John hibernates to work in his attic office, but comes under attack from a bat. Mrs. Simpkins thinks he is raving mad when he runs into her room. The two end up in a closet together and when she sees he is protecting her from the bat she learns a lesson in courage. The comedy is very light here, as is the animation and lesson.
