A different treat, the story is about Keshu (jayasurya) who is a school drop out and leads a very quiet life by working in the Photostat store of Indrapalan (suraj). However, there are two things that Keshu is busy with - making a photostat of the currency notes and also loving Rosa (meera nandan) who works in the nearby boutique store. Though Keshu is good at copying the currency note, he is scared to spend them. His life takes a turn when he chances upon Daany (mukesh), an Anglo Indian who believes in making it big by hook or crook. Daany identifies the talent in Keshu and lures him to get into the act of fake currency. From then on, the whole life of Keshu changes and what happens after that forms the rest of the story.
The director has come up with a decent debut effort and both his narration and presentation were neat. The dialogues were sensible, the script was neat, the screenplay was effective and the music was good as it delivered two hummable numbers and an equally good background score. Cinematography was efficient with some good light effects and capturing the moments very neatly. Editing was missing as it could have been used at many points. The art department also did a commendable job in this one. Jayasuriya might take this as one of the most memorable roles as it was different and hard hitting, Mukesh also was highly effective and competent, he scored a lot of points. Meera Nandan was not able to impress this time and her chemistry with Jayasuriya didn't work that well. Kalabhavan Mani looked different, Anoop, Seetha, Mamukoya did their bit as required.
The film comes across as an offbeat entertainer and though the concept is very interesting, the main flaw of the movie was the length. While the first half of the movie takes off on a flying note and the audience increases its expectation, But the movie would appeal to those who want variety and it is definitely a good effort by the makers. Keralawap Verdict :
It is different, variety audience will like it.
