- Scene of woman shooting a pigeon followed by view of fallen, bloody pigeon with a wing still twitching. This did not look simulated to me because the wing movement was exactly the kind of spasmodic twitch that a dying or brain-damaged animal produces. This was shown twice and then we are shown the woman wringing its neck to put it out of its misery. Shortly afterward, she herself is shot in the throat, with a very brief glimpse of her throwing up her bloody hands but no visible details of her injuries, though the police comment that her head was nearly blown off.
