Storyline
Dexter is facing some marriage and parenting challenges. Rita is mothering him somewhat after the accident and is not allowing him to drive, as per the doctor's orders. Step-daughter Astor is growing up and everything Dexter does seems to be the wrong thing. The neighborhood watch committee goes into action when someone vandalizes property. Dexter soon has a bead on the likely culprit and decides to put his own skills to work. The Trinity Killer strikes again but Debra and ex-Agent Lundy are the only ones who seem to think the death is part of the serial killer's work. Spending a lot of time with Lundy may not be good for her relationship Anton, however. Still worried about what Dexter saw, Joey Quinn continues to try and make nice. He's also still feeding information to the journalist he's sleeping with. Written by

The Trinity Killer forces a woman called Tarla Grant to jump from a store at the old port; otherwise he would kill her husband and two kids. Meanwhile Dexter is having troubles at home and in his community, since Rita does not allow him to drive; Astor is having the typical behavior of adolescents; and a vandal is destroying the properties and the neighborhood has organized a watching group to report incidents and security lights that may affect Dexter's secret life. Quinn, Debra and Dexter are assigned to investigate the jumper case and despite the reluctance of Debra, the case is closed as suicide. Meanwhile Dexter associates the tourist killer with Johnny Rise and when Angel and LaGuerta visit his girlfriend Nikki Wald, the couple shoots the police officers. The relationship of Debra with Anton is affected with the presence of Lundy. Dexter decides to punish the hooligan that is affecting his life and has a surprise.
"Blinded by the Light" is a reasonable episode of Dexter, where the problem in his community and Rita affected his daily life. Debra is questioning her relationship with Anton. Angel and Lt. LaGuerta are having trouble to hide their relationship. Quinn is involuntary providing classified information to the reporter on bed. The Trinity Killer is really a deranged middle-aged man. My vote is seven.
