NBC announces their development slate NBC unveiled some of its early development projects that have been green-lit for 2010-11, including a large slate of dramas such as Prime Suspect (from Hank Steinberg, Without A Trace), an updated version of the classic The Rockford Files (from David Shore, House), Undercovers (from J.J. Abrams, Lost), Chase (from Jerry Bruckheimer, the CSI franchise), Kindreds (from David E. Kelley, Boston Legal) and The Event; Comedies include the untitled Adam Corolla project. The announcements were made today by Angela Bromstad, President, Primetime Entertainment, NBC and Universal Media Studios. On the drama side, Prime Suspect is based on the award-winning BBC series centering on a courageous female detective who investigates complex mysteries in a politically explosive big city. Casting will be announced later. The pilot is produced by Universal Media Studios and ITV. Hank Steinberg (Without A Trace) and Erwin Stoff (The Blind Side) are the executive producers. »

With the TCA’s going on in Los Angeles, all the networks are showcasing the new shows of 2010 and talking about their future plans. NBC held an event today and unveiled some of its early development projects that have been green-lit for 2010-11. Some of the shows are Prime Suspect (from Hank Steinberg, Without A Trace), an updated version of the classic The Rockford Files (from David Shore, House), Undercovers (from J.J. Abrams, Lost), Chase (from Jerry Bruckheimer, the CSI franchise), Kindreds (from David E. Kelley, Boston Legal) and The Event; Comedies include the untitled Adam Corolla project. Here are the descriptions NBC provided me. Their upfront presentation is May 17, which means that’s the day we’ll find out which shows were picked up and what shows will return.

It seems that Adam Carolla and Jimmy Kimmel are at it again, as NBC has announced a pilot order for an untitled comedy starring Adam Carolla. This marks the first comedy pilot for NBC this season, and the second consecutive comedy pilot for Carolla and Kimmel as well as for executive producers Gail Berman and Lloyd Braun and co-writter Kevin Hench.
The new pilot will follow a contractor (Carolla) as he begins rebuilding his life after a divorce. Carolla co-wrote the pilot with long-time writting partner Kevin Hench, who has worked with Carolla on The Man Show, Too Late with Adam Carolla, and also co-wrote the CBS pilot Ace in the Hole last year, which also starred Carolla but wasn't picked up by CBS.
NBC has plans to pick up 18 pilots this season, with eight of those being comedies and the other 10 being dramas. Two of the drama pilots have already begun production, »
