Legends of Tomorrow is staging a Titanic reunion, tapping Billy Zane to portray politician and showman P.T. Barnum, who founded Barnum & Bailey Circus (aka “The Greatest Show on Earth”).

Per EW.com, Zane will guest-star in a Season 3 episode, during which he will share the screen with Titanic castmate Victor Garber, who plays Dr. Martin Stein/one half of Firestorm on the CW series.

On Legends, Barnum is “the villain of our story,” but he is also “just a guy who wants to put on a good show,” executive producer Phil Klemmer previews.

A spin-off from the popular The Vampire Diaries, which is based on the best-selling book series, The Originals is about what the name suggests: The original vampire family. They return to New Orleans, a city they help build, and the mayhem begins.

Created by Julie Plec (TV’s The Tomorrow People), The Originals stars Joseph Morgan (Armistice), Daniel Gillies (TV’s Saving Grace) and Phoebe Tonkin (Bait) from The Vampire Diaries. Charles Michael Davis (TV’s Grey’s Anatomy) and Leah Pipes (TV’s The Deep End) were in one episode of the earlier show but their roles have built into starring characters in The Originals.

Averaging nearly 3.1 million viewers, the fantasy TV show is the CW’s number 2 series among adults.

Dave Hemingson Inks Overall Deal With ABC Studios

Exclusive: Comedy writer-producer Dave Hemingson has closed an overall deal at ABC Studios after a decade-long stint at 20th Century Fox TV. The signing is part of a roster-building effort on the part of ABC Studios, which is looking to bring in several high-level writers heading into next season. At 20th TV, Hemingson most recently served as executive producer/co-showrunner on the studio’s upcoming CBS multi-camera comedy series Friends with Better Lives alongside creator Dana Klein. He previously served in the same capacity on 20th TV’s single-camera comedy series Don’t Trust The B—- In Apartment 23 for ABC and Traffic Light for Fox. Hemingson also worked on 20th TV’s animated comedies Family Guy and American Dad, live-action comedy How I Met Your Mother and drama Lie To Me. A Pretty Little Liar Joins the Cast of The Originals

Ready to close out your Monday work day with some casting news for an upcoming new TV show on The CW? If you're a fan of "The Originals," then you'll want to read on for the info.

Per TV Guide, "Pretty Little Liars" actor Steven Krueger will appear in three episodes of "The Originals" as Josh, a young tourist whose night out in New Orleans takes an unexpectedly dark turn when he ends up at Marcel's bar.

The CW will be pairing "The Originals" with "Supernatural" on Tuesday nights, 8Pm and 9Pm, respectively, beginning October 8th; but first "The Originals" will debut on Thursday, October 3rd, immediately following the Season 5 premiere of its sister show "The Vampire Diaries," from which it was spawned.

The actress (The Deep End) has been cast on this NBC drama in the recurring role of Secretary Justine Allenford. Deadline, which broke this casting news, describes the character as "a strong and smart leader."

Patrick Heusinger and Jessica Collins have also signed on for the series, which shifts to Wednesdays in the fall.

Updated Promos for The Originals and The Tomorrow People on The CW

Now that The CW has announced its fall premiere schedule, the network has also released new promos for upcoming shows "The Originals" and "The Tomorrow People." They aren't much different from what we've already seen, but being completists, we have them both for you here.

Look for "The Tomorrow People" to premiere on Wednesday, October 9th (along with "Arrow"), with "The Originals" making its bow on Tuesday, October 15th (paired with "Supernatural").

Another Preview Arrives for The Originals

Apparently that extended promo The CW released yesterday for its new series "The Originals" just wasn't enough as they've now provided us with a preview entitled "Jealousy."

Whether or not Episode 1.01 of "The Originals" will be called "Jealousy" isn't clear - but as soon as we get an announcement about the show's premiere date, the ep's title probably won't be too far behind so stay tuned!

The CW Releases Clips for The Tomorrow People, The Originals, The 100, and Star-crossed

The CW has long been one of the best supporters of Our Kind of Shows, and at this year’s Upfronts they put even more money where our hearts are. Of the six new shows announced for the fall and winter schedule, four are for us: The Originals, The Tomorrow People, The 100, and Star-Crossed. Now of course more than one has that trademark The CW soap opera-ish spin on it, but hey, not Every show is for every one of us.

Here to assist in our prejudging are synopses for all, via Deadline, and maybe even better, clips and/or TV spots. There’s not really anything new for The Originals, but fans will want to see it all again anyway. The Tomorrow People features the wonderful Mark Pellegrino so it’s my favorite of the four.

After two tries at doctoring it up for ABC (with Off The Map and A Gifted Man) Twilight star Rachelle Lefevre is now set to give CBS a TV try with its Under The Dome adaptation of Stephen King's sci-fi novel of the same name. According to TV Guide, Lefevre has signed on to star as Julia, an investigative reporter who moves to the small town of Chester Mills, Maine with her doctor husband and becomes trapped within when a clear dome is suddenly placed around the town's borders. Lefevre joins Dean Norris, Mike Vogel, Britt Robertson, Natalie Martinez, Aisha Hinds, Alex Koch, Colin Ford, Nicholas Strong and Jolene Purdy for the cast, and thirteen episodes have been ordered up from CBS.
