Neil Patrick Harris has been cast as a 'singing' batman villain in the animated series Batman: The Brave And The Bold. According to Buddy TV, the star of CBS’s “How I Met Your Mother” will lend his smooth vocals as the ‘Music Meister’ the Dark Knight's foe in an episode in the coming season. Here is how series producer James Tucker described the character and plot to the folks at Buddy TV: “[He is a] former band camp nerd turned megalomaniac ... [The] plot itself is just a framework, an excuse to have everybody sing!” Clearly that will be hilarious and despite having never seen this animated Batman incarnation, the involvement of Nph has me looking forward to this release -- which will be previewed for attendees of Comic-Con in San Diego later this month. Also cast are Amy Sedaris, John Hodgman, Peter Serafinowicz, Bridget Regan, Kate Mulgrew and Christopher McDonald. Robert and Patricia Weiser are reteaming with Richard Schiffrin -- with whom they collaborated on the steroid documentary "Bigger Stronger Faster" -- to produce along with Nicholas Simon.
