The crew on board an oil rig are disappointed when all leave is cancelled, the mood worsens when a crew member suffers an injury, and a mysterious fog envelopes them.
The Kraken wakes, that was seen, is that a clue as to what to expect here?
I don't really know the format, or where it's going, but this first episode had me gripped and hooked. Part horror, paper thriller, maybe part sci fi, it's a little unclear as to exactly what type of show this is, whatever it becomes it's certainly intriguing and packed with suspense.
Well made, great visuals, and an unsettling tone, it was very well produced.
Despite it being billed as a big Martin Compston drama, I thought it was Owen Teale who stole is as the fiery Hutton.
I was gripped, really enjoyed it.
8/10.
