I was really impressed by this film, and have watched it repeatedly. It so beautifully captures the Iowa landscape, and the magical feeling of being in the rural Midwest. The story is touching, and perfectly acted. There are times in this film where there is not much dialogue, and I find these moments particularly touching. This film captures all of my senses, and I truly feel part of it while watching.To me, what makes any piece of art special is its ability to reach my emotional self. Hidden Hearts does just that. It speaks to the child in all of us. It speaks to anyone who is looking for their place in this world.Hidden Hearts gets into your heart, and stays there.
