Trivia

Before the opening credits Pete and Myka get neutralized/ purple slimed, and Pete wipes goo off his face and flicks it at Myka. That whole bit of business, wiping, flicking, turn of head, and facial expression was a perfect mimicry of a classic Laurel and Hardy bit. See more »

What in the...?

I have to admit I found the offending object in this episode to be more than a bit far-fetched. I don't want to reveal what it is here, but it is ridiculous. Pete and Myka are sent to Colorado (everywhere they go is starting to look the same, by the way) to investigate a bunch of people going off the deep end. A nun decides she can fly and jumps off a roof. An old lady gets rowdy with a newspaper honor box. A young musician smashes his violin to pieces. And so on. Myka notices folks are losing their balance just before each outburst, and then she is "infected" so that she starts taking swings at Pete and other males in town. The daring duo have a very tough time trying to connect all of the people involved to some object in town. The show is still fun, and there remains an element of suspense, but this show isn't going the way I personally thought it would. It is not working on the same level as the old Friday THE 13TH TV series, which also dealt with sinister objects to be retrieved by a young guy and gal. Still, the ongoing monkey business between the bickering Bickersons (Pete and Myka) is fun to watch, and the odd disturbances happening back at the warehouse, involving a mysterious hacker, add to the suspense. But I suspect this show will be gone sooner rather than later. Sad.
