It's clear from the outset that the makers are in love with this little British museum and its occupants, Little snippets of conversation are heard throughout that tell so much more than the documentary initially promises. These old men and occasional woman are national treasures that have found a home in Brooklands. If it were to ever shut its doors, for a housing or warehouse development, it would be nothing short of sacrilege.
The program is a pleasure from top to tail and although it is not usually my first choice of watching, when I do stick it on I'm always happy and relaxed by the end. Now I've run out of episodes I find myself wishing for a return of the series.
