Elgin James delivers an explosive finale that contains suspension, quality drama and incredible writing
Holt34412 May 2021
Elgin James directed the season 3 finale which is titled "Chapter the Last, Nothing More to Write", it's a phenomenal episode and shows Elgin James in his prime on storytelling. The storylines and character arcs comes together in this explosive finale, lots of build up and it's always nice to see it play out in a great and exciting way. I got nothing negative to say, it was 74 minutes of extraordinary television.

EZ Reyes' character arc this season builds on the previous character development from previous seasons but it's been great this season and after what he said to Gaby in episode 3.09, that he wanted to be with her and move to another city. It surprised me but felt so realistic, honestly the whole character like so many others on Mayans are well written and realistic but also portrayed in a great way. JD Pardo's performance as EZ are one of my favorites, the whole character is relatable and likeable but also flawed. Other character arcs that have been great this season are of course Coco, Bishop and Angel. All of them gave incredible performances, so did many others. I need to praise Danny Pino as Miguel Galindo, his performance as a depressed cartel leader after the death of his mother have been such a blessing to experience. He deserves an award for his performance, no doubt.

Mayans MC's third season have been truly amazing, I found that everything has been improved upon. I think it's the best season of the show and having Elgin James being the only showrunner is probably why that is, now I think Kurt Sutter is great but it always felt like he prepared Elgin for this and he showed that he's ready. Great season and a phenomenal finale, Season 4 is confirmed and I can't wait.

Great season!!

They pulled it off people. All without the man who helped create it. The Story Elgin began to tell in 3 is riveting, cultivating and i believe season 4 will be even better. The show can go many different ways with its ensemble. So much at stake for our Santo Padre riders that i believe will bring El Padrino Alvarez out of the thousand dollar suits and right back into his Kutte.

Great ending, setting up for.....
terrence-6581219 May 2021
Great ending to the season, leaves many paths for the characters to go. Especially for Alvarez, return to his roots or continue being worse than a lap dog. Of course we keep rooting for EZ to break free. The ending/cliff hanger is taunting for a necessity that just can't happen. How else can the series continue if EZ isn't trapped in the life.

What an episode👏

Warning: Spoilers
This episode has been one hell of a ride. Absolutely loved EZ's memorable and commanding last scene. J. D. Pardo aka EZ standing there on some Jon Snow level with a gun in his hand instead of a sword waiting for the hoard just made him one of my favorite character. MAAAAAAAN I AM READY FOR NEXT SEASON!

Boring, repetitive, flat
tara-h6322 November 2021
Please bring Sutter back! The only thing a little bit better about the season 3 is cinematography and the camera angels. The story has no layers and is too flat and predictable. There are bunch of boring side stories that are getting too much air time and are going no where. Gabby's character is just too good and naive with no depth or layers and I don't like the choice of the actress tbh. I had to fast forward most of the mid season 3's episodes because they were too long and predictable with long and boring dialogues. Season 1 was a bit difficult to get in to, got much better after episode 5. Season 2 got so much better. Season 3 is trying too hard to develop side characters with dragging the unoriginal stories. The whole season 3 was too political correct imo with cheesy and shallow high school romance, no depth and very predictable. It looks more like a soap opera at this point tbh. The show has lost it's essence of a bad ass biker show and the excessive usage of the F word ain't helping. That's what happens when the creator of the show gets fired.

So this season accomplished what exactly...?
ceelofiend13 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Seriously, what did this season accomplish? The main conflict that started the season is still there as the screen turns to black. All that's accomplished in ten episodes is Palo's story is wrapped up? Kind of? This show is reaching the Walking Dead and the Handmaids Tale levels of repetitiveness. I know this show wants to stand apart from SoA but compare the first three seasons of SoA to these first three seasons and this story has barely moved along at all. We get to wait a year to see if they wrap up the 100+ plot lines they could've and should've wrapped up this season. So disappointed.

Bring Sutter Back
dudewholikesthepits13 May 2021
Bring back the man behind the curtain. This season was a flat, sloppy mess that did very little to move the story forward. Compare this season to season 3 of Sons. There's no comparison. This show needs its creator back.

Usual stupid cliffhanger
wad_mastool12 May 2021
I really hate being treated as kids with this stupid cliffhanger that we have to wait a full year just to see what will happen.

Writers who do this are always seems to be weak and do this to just keep viewers without any effort into the show itself and building a great story that will keep us coming back.

A sharp decline without Teller..
ecsecs-9122521 June 2022
Season 1 & 2 were great, season 3 without Teller is abysmal. To go from a series about a powerful biker gang and the Mexican cartel muling drugs and fire arms (you know things a criminal enterprise might do), to a series about grown adults with the relationship problems one can only recall from high school days. I mean even without Teller couldn't the writers keep the story interesting just by sticking to its roots? To flip the series and change it to a melodramatic soap opera makes no sense.
