Storyline

Henry Rose is a young writer who is on top of the world until his pregnant wife suddenly vanishes while admiring flowers on the side of a Texas highway. Henry races to a nearby town for help but finds the town deserted, save for a few locals who barely acknowledge his existence. Entering the town at the same time with their own agenda is a family of vicious psychotic criminals led by the charismatic yet deadly Toby Haynes. When Toby's sister also disappears, he takes matters into his own hands to find the culprit. The paths of Henry and Toby's gang inevitably cross in this grim portrayal of man's descent into the unknown evils of our world. Written by Production Company

Every now and then, a title that you have no expectations for turns out to be very entertaining and memorable. This is one of those films. VERY MILD SPOILER HERE**: I knew that it was going to be different with the first song interlude during the first violent scene in the film. END VERY MILD SPOILER** It just goes from there and will keep your attention with some great stereotypical humor(and i say "stereotypical" as a good thing here...as in, making fun of stereotypes). I actually won this DVD in a Rue Morgue Radio contest and forgot about it for months. I have since viewed it 3 times and each time is enjoyable. Very original and looking forward to other Cade offerings. Beer will impress you as well in the "Toby" role and with the musical score. Nice to see a breath of fresh air in this genre. Do yourself a favor and check this one out!
