A Good Tense Episode

I've overall liked this series, even if it's a bit cliche at times. This episode is an overall improvement though.

Great episode

Another great episode, and very different from the others as the team uses alternative methods to help the victim. The interaction with the team and the alternate story line with the family add up to an enjoyable show.

The writing just gets worse.

The story line doesn't make logical sense. Not plot holes that you realize later, but blatant logical inconsistencies from the opening sequence that make it virtually impossible to be engaged with how this plot plays out.

The dialogue is forced and rife with unbelievable exposition that is pointless.

QL does a good job, but 80% of everyone else on screen are very mediocre actors - enough to take you out of the story to notice how bad the acting is.

But it's not just the acting, because the writing is so bad that it's hard to imagine a way to play the fake situations well.

Lots of potential with this show, but apparently no quality control.
