Hellbound does a really good job of slowly building tension and putting characters in terrible situations. From the first episode to the third Hellbound only gets better as it goes on, so if you're initially on the fence with the show stick with it. Part of the appeal of Hellbound is the food for thought the show provides and the unpredictable narrative. Some things are a bit over the top and borderline on obnoxious parody with the "twitch streamer" inciting violence. Sort of reminds me of how the super rich are portrayed as VIP's in Squid Game. Beyond a few minor gripes I can see a lot of people enjoying Hellbound if they stick with it and give it a try. Episode 3 has a great ending and episode four continues to setup perilous situations. Looking forward to seeing how the show progresses to the finale.

Heightened drama

The show continues to go from strength to strength. It's better than ever now, truly unpredictable in terms of character fates, and surprisingly nihilistic. I like the way the scope is constantly expanding, the story growing, the drama heightening throughout.

Episode 3: After all the built-up tension in the previous episode, we start to see mumbo jumbo drama and ultra poor reactions from the "police" force and the laughable "SWAT" team.
On top of that, the logic is aiming to near zero with one of the "thing" punching the detective, making him fly in pulp across that space and he just loses conscientiousness?! ... After that, the next day, as if nothing happened, having him "raiding" that house, leading him to the leader who confesses and tells a 20 y.o. Story, acknowledging his own demonstration!
The plots have become mean, senseless, turning weak and the intensity is gone after 3 episodes.
Only a mumbo team of writers can manage that. Disappointed for now.
