'Blood Fare' to Premiere at Dragon*Con 2012

After a lot of buzz around the Cival War ghost story Blood Fare, the film is finally seeing its first world premiere.

Blood Fare will be screened at Dragon*Con 2012 in Atlanta Georgia on August 31st.

Supernatural thriller Blood Fare starring Buck Rogers legend Gil Gerard to hold world premiere at Dragon*Con 2012

The world premiere of supernatural thriller Blood Fare, starring Buck Rogers legend Gil Gerard, will take place at Dragon*Con 2012, it has been announced.

The screening is scheduled for 8.30pm on Friday, August 31, at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta.

A Q&A will follow with the film's star Gil Gerard, famous for his lead role in the classic sci-fi movie and series Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, and award-winning writer-director J.A. Steel.

Blood Fare is a Civil War ghost story with a modern twist, by J.A. Steel and co-producer Christian K. Koch. This is Steel's fourth feature film.

It tells the tale of Corporal Henry Trout (S. Edward Meek - Wild Stallion), who in 1861 fought valiantly in a forgotten skirmish after the first battle of Bull Run. Then, 150 years later, he comes face to face with his descendants as the battle for blood continues on a haunted battlefield.

Trailer for J.A. Steel's Blood Fare starring Gil Gerard

The trailer for horror film Blood Fare has been released online after having its world premiere on the Big City Comics video wall at this year's San Diego Comic-Con.

It's the fourth film from writer-director J.A. Steel following her horror shocker Denizen, supernatural thriller Salvation and action feature The Third Society.

Steel attended the premiere with cast members Gil Gerard (famous for his lead role in the TV series Buck Rogers in the 25th Century) and Savannah Ostler (Vengeance, Splattercontainer Scream Queen October 2010).

Also there was Jeff Kaufman, creator of the new graphic novel Terminal Alice, published by Big City Comics and centring on five female contract killers who find they each have a price on their head and must work together to find out who wants them dead. Malice in Wonderland Helmer Simon Fellows to Direct Adaptation of Alan K. Baker’s Tome Dyatlov Pass

2B Pictures, the banner of Blighty’s Future Film Group, is adapting Alan K. Baker’s novel Dyatlov Pass, based on the mysterious ski incident, for the big screen.

The film will be directed by Simon Fellows (Malice in Wonderland), following the true-life events that occurred on February 1959 in the Russia’s Urals, when nine experienced cross-country skiers mysteriously died.

Andy Briggs (Ghost Town) will adapt the script on Baker’s version of the event. The hiker’s deaths have already attracted much speculations being linked to paranormal activity or a military keeping secret.

The tent had been cut open from inside and counted footprints from eight or nine people in meter-deep snow. Though there was no sign of fight, two skiers had fractured skulls, two had broken ribs, one was missing her tongue and clothing belonging to them contained high levels of radiation.
