In 1994, custody officer/writer-filmmaker David J. Sperling began to document the life of Mark David Allen, a 33 year old alcoholic in an attempt to help Mark get sober. Over the next 18 years, Sperling put together a cinematic diary of Mark's dark, yet remarkable journey. Written by

Aside from Mark David Allen believing he was a costar in such films as "Enter the Dragon", "Game of Death" as well as being on "Married With Children", Mark also believes he was in "Hawaii Five-0", "Bonanaza", and "Walker: Texas Ranger". See more »
This film is tragic and a little funny at times. The sad part is to watch this young, handsome, and very likable guy spiral into oblivion. He looks like a cross between Jeff Brides as The Dude in The Big Lebowski and Nicolas Cage as Ben Sanderson in Leaving Las Vegas.
What I saw as funny was how Mark would look right in the camera after having maybe 2 days of sobriety and say "I am done bro. I'm never going to drink again." And before the sun goes down he's arrested for being drunk in public.
My prayers to him and people like him.
