Trivia

The Master redeems himself by sacrificing himself and saving the Doctor. According to historical accounts of the production of the classic series, this idea dates back to the original concept for Jon Pertwee's final story as the Third Doctor The Final Game, which would have seen Roger Delgado's Master redeem himself in a similar fashion (it would also have caused the Doctor's regeneration). Delgado's tragic death aborted this idea. See more »

Quotes

The Doctor: I'd be proud.
Wilfred Mott: Of what?
The Doctor: If you were my dad.
Wilfred Mott: Come on, don't start. You were told that he would knock four times, and then you die. Well, that's him, isn't it? The Master, that noise in his head. The Master is going to kill you.
The Doctor: Yeah.
Wilfred Mott: Then kill him first.
The Doctor: That's how the Master started. It's not like I'm an innocent. I've taken lives. And I got worse, I got clever. Manipulated people into taking their own. Sometimes I think a Timelord lives too long. I can't. I just can't.
Wilfred Mott: If The Master dies, what ...

Brilliant!
3 January 2010 | by (Netherlands) – See all my reviews

After seeing the fantastic first part of 'The End of Time', I couldn't wait for Part Two. Now after seeing part two, I know that my waiting is rewarded.

The episode itself is written fantastic, it starts great, in the middle there's one or two minutes that are a bit less interesting, but that doesn't matter anymore after seeing the FANTASTIC ending, I'll not spoil it for you, but RTD did an awesome job here, it couldn't be better.

I hope RTD will continue with Torchwood, after finishing writing for Doctor Who, and maybe write once in a while another DW episode.

I recommend this special to everyone!
