Miley Cyrus Dishes on Musical Inspirations—from Father Billy Ray to Elvis Presley—at Album Release Party
Not that anyone’s keeping track, but it’s safe to say this was the first album release party that began with a guest appearance by a puppet.

And that was just Act I of Miley Cyrus’ three-act extravaganza, thrown for about 150 super-fans who packed into the third floor of Nashville’s most iconic downtown honky-tonk, Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge, on Friday night to celebrate the release of Younger Now.

The new album is a declaration by the 24-year-old artist, who’s spent the past decade successively reinventing herself, that she’s now embracing all her former selves (yes, including

A Complete Guide to Every Song Written By Paul McCartney and Elvis Costello During Their Partnership

A Complete Guide to Every Song Written By Paul McCartney and Elvis Costello During Their Partnership
Though his music can be heard in all corners of the globe, Paul McCartney’s songwriting process is impressively homegrown. When he teamed with Elvis Costello for sessions that would ultimately yield his 1989 album Flowers in the Dirt, the pair met at McCartney’s personal studio: a converted corn mill dubbed Hog Hill Mill, a short drive from his farm in rural southern England. Armed with nothing more high-tech than a pencil, paper and acoustic guitar, two of the world’s most influential composers climbed the steps to a small office tucked above the studio and pulled tunes out of thin air.

The Fate of the Furious gets an international trailer with sneak peek at Camila Cabello and Pitbull’s new song

Universal’s upcoming eighth installment in the Fast & Furious saga, The Fate of the Furious, has just received an international trailer. Despite the video being relatively short (clocking in at around one minute), it manages to both show off never-before-seen footage and give a sneak peek at production on the music video for one of the film’s original songs. Watch it below…

The trailer places quite a bit of emphasis on the relationship between Dominic Toretto (Diesel) and Letty Ortiz (Michelle Rodriguez), a dynamic that previous spots and trailers for Fate failed to highlight, instead showcasing the over-the-top action set pieces fans have come to expect.

Many were surprised when the Fate team announced they’d be heading to Cuba to shoot scenes, but the beautiful scenery on display in the trailer indicates it was a good decision. Toretto and Ortiz couldn’t have chosen a better honeymoon spot.

Pitch Review – TV – Fox Is Gambling Big, But It Looks To Be A Good Bet

If only a show could believe in the shtick it has, and not decide that it not only needs two, but needs one to be a clever twist. Pitch has enough going on without throwing out a last-minute zinger. Worse, the show doesn’t need it, it doesn’t help anything, and it runs the risk of leaving a bad taste in your mouth. I’m tempted to tell you the point at which you should stop watching, and await the next episode.

As I said, Pitch has enough going on, and somewhat surprisingly, what with the overblown cliches that are tricky to avoid, it’s a refreshing joyride. It may seem like damning with faint praise, but the show’s best attribute is just that it adeptly dodges turning into something laughable. That isn’t because it’s doing anything wrong, but because the subject matter simply means that

Exclusive Interview with filmmaker Robert Rodriguez

Robert Rodriguez interview

Movie director Robert Rodriguez is one of our favourites. His resume includes Desperado, Sin City, The Faculty, Spy Kids, From Dusk Till Dawn, Planet Terror and Machete, and eclectic range of genre films that all hit the right spot.

Rodriguez is somewhat of a maverick film director. He’s not one to play by the expected rules of the movie world, be that in what he puts on the screen or how he interacts with his peers. During his career he has left both the screen writers and directors guild in favour of blazing his own path. His latest venture has been to create his own television network ‘El Rey’ which caters to a Latin American audience.

He used the platform to bring back a project from his past From Dusk Till Dawn; the film starred George Clooney and Quentin Tarantino as brothers and criminal Seth and Richard Gecko.

Kids’ Choice Awards: Ellen DeGeneres Masters Snapchat, Blake Shelton Goes Full Unicorn
Country music star Blake Shelton set out to “save the Kids’ Choice Awards,” held Saturday at the Forum in Inglewood, Calif. – but not until his famous pals Pharrell, Adam Levine and Selena Gomez paid him a visit, offering words of encouragement.

Shelton sat in front of his dressing room mirror staring at himself as “Star Wars” stormtroopers marched onstage to take over the Nickelodeon show. The host grabbed his blaster and exchanged fire with the troopers – interrupted by last year’s host Nick Jonas shouting “keep it down” — before driving on the Kca stage in a chair modeled after his seating on “The Voice.”

“You all know why this show is so cool?” “The Voice” judge asked, greeting the crowd. “Because you control everything.”

The audience was given more control over this year’s show than any other year. They voted for the winners, the set design for the stage

Your 2016 Golden Globe Winners; The Revenant Wins Best Picture, Director, and Actor!

The 2016 Golden Globe Awards were held last night; it was a long one but thanks to host Ricky Gervais, it was anything but boring. The Revenant took home Best Picture – Drama, Best Director for Alejandro G. Iñárritu, and Best Actor for Leonardo DiCaprio. Some might hope that Leos’ Oscar chances are a lock now, but let’s remember that for some strange reason he didn’t win for Wolf of Wall Street. The Academy has already closed voting for Oscar nominations, so this award show has no claim to much.

The Martian won Best Picture – Comedy and Best Actor in a Comedy for Matt Damon, while the Best Actress honors went to Brie Larson for Room and Jennifer Lawrence for Joy. And our favorite actress, Kate Winslet, won for her supporting role in Steve Jobs. Also, Sylvester Stallone won for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Creed; his last

Might it just be Leonardo diCaprio's year, finally, at the Academy Awards? He and his latest movie, The Revenant, took a big step towards the Oscar stage by taking home the big prizes at the Golden Globe awards overnight. DiCaprio took home the best actor gong (for a drama), whilst The Revenant seized Best Motion Picture, Drama, beating out the early Oscar favourite, Spotlight.

Alejandro G Inarritu won Best Director for The Revenant, too.

Elsewhere? The Martian won big too, with Matt Damon earning the best actor prize in a musical or comedy, with the film itself winning Best Motion Picture (musical, or comedy).
