The 'banging the broom on the ceiling' scene in this film is recreated from a 'behind-the-scenes' perspective in the short film 'The Secret Hell of Charlie Chuckles'. That short was directed by Lisette Lawrie, who was the Art Director on this short, and Written and Assistant Directed by Henry Dalton, who wrote and directed This Is Not My Beautiful House.
This short film was made for the extremely low budget of just £140. It has since been screened on the Sky Television channels 'Trouble', 'Propeller' and the programme 'Shortcutters' on the 'Sumo' channel, where it was named as having the best Production Design of the series.
Production photos taken of the Beautiful House set were selected as some of the 'World's Best Photos of Dilapidation' on the popular photography website Flickr.
