Storyline

In this quirky comedy Shepherd is a struggling door-to-door freeze-dried pet salesman, who lives alone with his ailing mother. He is harassed at work by his mentally challenged boss, while his nearly catatonic mother sits at home, addicted to televangelists and prescription drugs. Her monetary contribution to these TV "pastors" is draining them financially dry. Their family physician urges Shepherd to find his mother some excitement before she slips away. When Shepherd loses his job he hits the road with his mother and their two neighbors, Annamari-ah (Maria-Elena Laas) and her father (Danny Trejo), to attend the End Times Revival Event! Funny film.

This movie has unadulterated moxie. As we move through a generation where new comedies depend more and more on cheap gags to get a few laughs, Pastor Shepherd is a welcome breath of fresh air. The writer did a wonderful job delivering a true form of comedy that is dry, entertaining, and terribly smart. Amazing! Saw this at a friends house, wish I could stream it! Trejo did an amazing job and it was great to see him out of the usual character he plays. Comedy is dry but extremely funny. It could be Napoleon Dynamites long lost brother as far as Im concerned. Kudos to the writer... BRILLIANT! Highly recommend.
