While it's not stated where the series takes place some Montreal landmarks can be seen. But in several episodes it's stated that the 18 year-old couple can't drink because they're underage. That will be true if the series takes place in the neighboring province of Ontario where the drinking age is 19 (21 for the United States) but in the province of Quebec it's 18 so in that case they would legally be able to drink. This is a CBC sitcom series that lasted 2 seasons. Michael Seater and Stacey Farber are young neighbors who impulsively married. The parents try to cope with the marriage and cope with each other. The girl's parents are hippies but the boy's parents are uptight. Everybody's extremely likable. The young actors are sweet and attractive. The only problem is that it's a rather safe 8 o'clock show. It lacks the edge that could have distinguished it.
It did last 2 years. That's better than most shows. And the new economics demand good numbers not only in Canada. And I don't know if they had any good numbers in Canada.
