So we now continue with Ted meeting Stella. We have her boyfriend Tony feel very guilty and try to help Ted out in a career. The highlight of which is of course where he brings him to a dinner with a guy who wants his house designed and apparently wants a soundproof basement with hooks. Basically a murder house.

It leads us back to Stella when Ted saying that he wouldn't want Stella back for leaving him Stella comes over to ask him for help as Tony left her. This seems like such a crazy thing of her to ask, but they dealt with it pretty well. Fun moments with Robin and Barney and a sweet conversation at the end about "the one".

Barney's story about talking oneself out of speeding tickets was also great. Mainly when he is all terrified from being arrested

A So So Episode

After the cliffhanger ending of the last episode, we see how Ted reacts to seeing Stella. Is she the mother of his kids as the last episode hinted at??

Plot In A Paragraph: Ted runs into his ex-fiancée Stella and her husband Tony seven months after she left him at the altar. Instead of acting angry toward them, Ted is polite and kind, trying to prove that he is over Stella. Despite this, Tony has it in his mind that he has to make amends to Ted for stealing his fiancée. Meanwhile, Barney has just received a speeding ticket. When he learns that all his friends have talked their way out of speeding tickets before, Barney "The Master Of Manipulation" had only one thing to do... Accept the challenge (even though nobody actually challenged him) that he can as well. So Barney goes on a speeding mission, which has unexpected consequences.

Whilst the episode is bogged down by the Ted storyline, the Barney one is a lot of fun, and raises this episode to a higher level.

Best one when you know the whole mother story

After watching it again knowing the mother and the storyline, this is one of the best episodes.
