Sweet and Adorable
5 May 2014 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

In *all* my ventures of watching movies, shows, cartoons, anime, etc., I have never seen or heard of a show as sweet, adorable, and just plain fun as Saki. I have yet to find a series besides this one that just puts a smile on my face, no matter the circumstance or whether I'm depressed, angry, sad, etc. No other show can do that.

Saki is about the titular character Saki Miyanaga, who grew up in a family surrounded by mahjong but, due to her family's split because of it, hates it. Now dragged into a mahjong club by an old childhood friend, she finds herself attached to the game once again - and must find a way to outsmart her opponents in the Nagano mahjong tournament, facing some of her most powerful enemies in the process.

Saki is just an adorable show. It's cute, it's lovable, and it just overall makes you so *happy*. You just want to hug every single character (especially Koromo) and if you want a show that will lighten your spirits when you're down in the dumps, watch it. You won't regret it.
