Some partial nudity, comical style.

One character is a perverted old man.

Mostly over-the-top anime martial arts fighting, including energy blasts and lasers.

Violence can get pretty brutal, with some gory scenes. Some characters get blasted trough with energy beams, and you can see a big hole in their body. (DVD version)

Characters have mostly blood on them (nose, mouth, cheek, etc) throughout when in a battle, if intense.

several uses of hell, damn, damn it and bastard. A few uses of crap, piss, and bugger. 1 use of jack-ass.

While these profanities are obviously edited on Nicktoons, it is mostly the sole issue that lead to the TV-14 Rating.

Dr. Briefs smokes as well as Bulma in some episodes. Nothing too much though. Hardly noticeable.

The fight scenes are more intense then in the original series. Even though the Kai series is a remastered version of the original series with some things added, Kai series is edited down to be closely adapted to the manga, so the battles are straight to the point and there are hardly any fillers like there was in the originals. So there is more fighting then talking, and the battles do get very intense, at least in the uncut versions.

suggested rating PG-13 for action violence, language, brief smoking and some crude humor.
