A Note Regarding Spoilers

The following FAQ entries may contain spoilers. Only the biggest ones (if any) will be covered with spoiler tags. Spoiler tags have been used sparingly in order to make the page more readable.

For detailed information about the amounts and types of (a) sex and nudity, (b) violence and gore, (c) profanity, (d) alcohol, drugs, and smoking, and (e) frightening and intense scenes in this movie, consult the IMDb Parents Guide for this movie. The Parents Guide for Men in Black 3 can be found here.

Agent J possessed the time travel device whereas Boris did not.

Agent J asks this very question. Jeffrey Price explains that if he is the only one who remembers it is because he was actually there.

He likely is but it is well established that K shows little to no facial emotion.

Rip Torn is in the movie, dressed as a Large-Headed Alien at the funeral of Zed, his own character from earlier installments. We aren't told why Rip Torn didn't have a bigger role in the movie, but his arrest in 2010 probably had something to do with it. From Wikipedia: "On January 29, 2010, Torn was arrested after breaking into a closed Litchfield Bancorp branch office in Lakeville, Connecticut, where Torn maintains a residence. He was charged with carrying a firearm without a permit, carrying a firearm while intoxicated, first-degree burglary, second-degree criminal trespassing and third-degree criminal mischief. The Connecticut State Police said that Torn broke into the bank thinking it was his home.... On December 14, 2010, Torn pled guilty to a litany of charges: reckless endangerment, criminal trespass, criminal mischief and the illegal carrying of a firearm and was given a two-and-a-half-year suspended jail sentence and three years probation."

Will there be a sequel?

Both Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith have considered reprising their roles as agents K and J. Columbia Pictures agreed with Men in Black 3 having a sequel, making Men in Black an ongoing franchise, however, neither actors nor Columbia Pictures have clear plans for a new movie. In a series of leaked emails, it was revealed that a potential crossover between the Men in Black series and the 21 Jump Street series may be in the works.
