Trivia

The script was rewritten numerous times. Originally the script focused on 2 rioters and 2 cops but as time moved on - the script became more personal and changed focus onto the lives of people living in a community. That script fused with another script entitled 'Waiting' (written by the director when he was 19) became the bare bones origins of what would become Knock 'Em Dead, Kid. See more »

Goofs

Although set in Connecticut, the film was actually shot in Los Angeles, thus the occasional palm tree creeps into certain outdoor scenes. See more »

Serious Potential
11 May 2009 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

When I finished watching this film a couple of things came to mind that really stood out ... It covered all the major points for a film ... It had beginning, middle, end ... It had a good plot ... all in all it had structure ... Considering this film had no budget ... gorilla shooting ... actor's bailing out ... taking all that in for consideration ... The final product was decent ... Now if this movie had backing ($$$) behind it ... well sky's the limit ... As far as the 3 main leads go ... I feel that Bret on camera ... ??? ... Jim was decent and did his character justice ... Willard has serious potential & wish he had more camera time ... all in all good job by cast and crew.
