I can tell you that there were almost only disappointed people at the Frightfest Halloween Allnighter this October. I don't think there were any person there that would rate the movie higher than I did. I can see everyone rating it as me or (more likely) even lower. The reason for that? It's not so much the fact, that the movie seems to rely on a straight horror story.
It's not even (only) the awful dialog at times that made the people turn away. Nor the exchangeable characters. But it was the sum of those parts. Plus an ending, that just does not fit into this movie. The ending would have deserved another (better) movie altogether. I had seen Jessica Lowndes in the movie "Autopsy" and liked her in that movie. But as cute and beautiful as she is, neither her nor anyone else can really "save" this from going down (pun intended)
