Incredibly entertaining episode!

This is probably my favorite episode of the series to date! Overall, it's been consistent and I like it! I enjoyed the plot line and that McCall was able to incorporate Bishop into the fold to get the job done. It makes me wonder more about their background and if it was ever more than just business. I loved the action which was turned back up a notch. The flirting between McCall and the detective is an added bonus. Looking forward to next week's episode. It's nice to see it all come together.

Continues to be pretty good

While I will always feel cheated that this a watered down version of what Denzel Washington and ensemble created as iconic, the bright side is my wife likes it. She likes the softer side of the tv shows theme. The drama and the pretty outfits. This allows me to watch a show with her that we both can enjoy.

However, it is forgettable. I doubt I will ever buy a dvd pack for this show. The show hit strong out the gate while many other shows take a season to build first. Unfortunately this episode is proof that this is probably as good as the show will ever get. Mainly because of the limitations of the age, agility and believability of queen Latifa living up to what her predecessor built.

I'd love a hbo version if this show. That felt more like the movies did. The current show has a softness that feels like a kid show. Like spy kids

An okay episode

I have enjoyed the first three episodes of this show. I agree with others here who compare it to CBS's Person of Interest, from a few years back.

Not so much because of the ex-CIA operative angle. More because of the sort of "superhero" vibe wrapped in realistic setting that both shows have/had. The mix of the implausible with the plausible can be fun to watch if done right.

This episode, though, felt too rushed, for a 42 minute show. I am not generally a fan of 2 episode storylines. But I think that this plot would have benefitted from the longer 2 episode format.

I am thoroughly enjoying Robyn McCall's (Queen Latifah) home life part of the show. It is something the original Equalizer with Edward Woodward, and Person of Interest, rarely, if ever, explored. For me, it adds a layer to the realism part of the show, gives it an extra dose of heart that doesn't hurt. But most of all, the emotions of the home life are handled with a minimum of melodrama, which is much appreciated by me.

I've watched all 4 episodes and enjoyed...

...but I can't help but notice that in 3 of the 4 episodes, the victims needing Equalizer assistance are non-white, and the evil-doers are white.

It Takes a Village

When a local community activist sudden death is regarded as suicide.

Robyn is called in to investigate. Even Dante is happy to let Robyn conduct the investigation in her own way. Dante knew the dead activist.

A Trump like property developer called Harrington is in the frame. Harrington is gentrifying this ara of New York and he will let nothing stand in his way.

Bishop plays a bigger roles in this episode. It was nice for him to team up with Robyn to being Harrington down.

They use his son as bait but Bishop also has a few tricks up his sleeve.

Again it's noticeable that there is less action and more emphasis on hi tech.
