How honey bees live
20 May 2014 | by See all my reviews

From 2000, this Nova video does not mention bee colony collapse disorder at all.

Instead, it's the story of how a hive survives when it's doing well. We see how the bees tell each other where and how far the flowers are; how the bees build the hive, store the food, lay the eggs, tend the young, reproduce, and move the hive. Attackers fought off include wasps, birds, bears, ants, moths, and mice.

Seems to have been filmed in Germany.

Amazing camera work, showing closeups inside the hive and of bees in full-speed flight.

Very well done.
