I am loving how we get to see this side of Klaus. He is reminding us of his bad side, which is what we all made us love him. Perhaps his bad character side is allowing us to get back on track now that their story has sprung free from the bonds of The Vampire Diaries. Maybe we can finally see it go back to the topic of Klaus and his life with those around him. »

Last season, The Originals became The CW's highest-rated new show. Will it continue to be a ratings success for the small network? Cancelled or renewed for season three? Stay tuned.
A spin-off of The Vampire Diaries, The Originals revolves around the world's original vampires who've returned to reclaim New Orleans. The cast includes Joseph Morgan, Daniel Gillies, Phoebe Tonkin, Charles Michael Davis, Leah Pipes, Danielle Campbell, and Claire Holt.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show's likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available -- typically the following morning, around 11:30am Est/8:30am Pst. Refresh to see the latest.
10/21 update: You can see the rest of the latest night's ratings. »

The Geek Has Inherited The Earth
2014-15 in Us television is most certainly the season of the geek. By the spring, Marvel Entertainment will have two interconnected series on the air, while DC - monopolising the TV world while its rival dominates the big screen - are behind five adaptations.
ABC's Agents of Shield may have been met with a mixed critical response and middling ratings when it debuted last year, but the network was suitably satisfied to order not only a second season but also a spinoff - with Hayley Atwell set to front period piece Agent Carter from January.
DC meanwhile is hoping to build on the enormous success of Arrow with not only a sister show - The »
How could we turn down the offer of a royal banquet with Queen Vicky Pattison? The Geordie Shore star is ruling the roost in the brand new series - which starts on MTV next week - so she invited us along to a slap up dinner to celebrate.
We sat next to her loyal subject Charlotte Crosby and had a natter about everything from the situation with Gaz to our shared love of Damon from The Vampire Diaries - and we even got matching Geordie Shore tattoos. Don't worry, mum, they were temporary.
But throughout the evening we also had a chance to grab the rest of the guys too, both to get our caricature drawn and to have a bit of dress-up fun ("We've got some crown jewels for you," the boys laughed). Obviously we dug around for some Geordie Shore gossip while we were there, so read on for 12 things we learned, »
The photo above may be of Nina Dobrev, but she’s not playing Elena Gilbert. No, this picture, along with the two below, are the first photos of Dobrev as Tatia on The Originals. Dobrev, who will be just the second Vampire Diaries star to appear on The Originals (Michael Trevino, who plays Tyler, crossed over last year during The Originals‘ first season), will show up on the spin-off series in flashbacks as the original doppelganger. However, even though she won’t be playing Elena, that doesn’t mean that Dobrev has escaped love triangles, as Tatia finds herself caught in between not the Salvatore brothers but Klaus and Elijah. “What we remember from The Vampire Diaries, for those who watch both shows, is that [Klaus and Elijah] both loved her, so it’s a little bit of history repeating itself like with Stefan [Paul Wesley] and Damon [Ian Somerhalder],” creator Julie Plec said to E! about Tatia’s debut… »
