Trivia:

In episode 10, Martin Starr's character is obsessed with getting the chance to meet George Takei. He not only meets him, but helps him after Takei has an allergic reaction to shellfish. In episode 13 of "Freaks and Geeks" (1999), the show Martin Starr played Bill Haverchuck on, Bill can't wait to go to a sci-fi convention to meet Takei, and Bill also has an allergic reaction in this episode.
