Storyline

The sports reporters, assigned to follow the Chicago Cubs to Arizona spring training, lack an original angle. Nostalgic for school day spring-break, the mates arrange 'professional' excuses to join them. Brendan's latest hot pick-up turns out to be burly pitcher Fontenot's girl, working to make her beau jealous. Talented Cub-wannabe Owen Scott steals the show, luckily for the reporters. Goofs

During the initial discussion about striking out a Cubs hitter, Mike writes his own headline about being a Naperville Central Allstar. Two episodes earlier (S03E07, "Facebook The Past") while watching the video of himself singing the Major General song, he said he went to a small all boys school, with a class of only 40. Naperville Central is a large public school of some 3,000 students and almost 300 staff members. See more »

Quotes

Brendan Dorff: Ah, my friend said you were datin' Mike Fontenot.
Connie: Oh, I am.
Brendan Dorff: What?
Connie: Yeah.
Brendan Dorff: Really?
Connie: Mm-hm.
Brendan Dorff: Then what the hell you doin' with me?
Connie: Mike's always, like, baseball this and baseball that, so the easiest way to get his attention is to make him jealous.
Brendan Dorff: No, Connie, I don't think I want any part of that.
Connie: Oh, too late. I already told him we slept together.
