Violence & Gore

  • A man beats a woman with a rock, the camera jars around a lot so we don't see much, but then we see him clearly pull her leg off leaving a bloody stump. Her body and the severed leg are seen several times afterwards. (THIS is probably the most violent and disturbing death in the film)

  • A mad man chases a woman with a machette intent on killing her. We later see him in the act of slitting her throat with the machette, although its mostly implied its nevertheless quite unsettling. We later see her with her neck all bloody and she is grabbed by the hair and drug away.
  • A man has a bloody leg from where it got injured earlier in the movie.
  • A woman stabs a man in the neck with a knife, we see blood spray out as she screams at him in feral rage while killing him.
  • We briefly see a theater full of ghostly corpses.
  • It is implied that a woman will eventually die from all the poisonous berries she is eating.

Profanity

  • Pretty standard R-rated language At least 20 F-words and assorted other language.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Two hikers eat some belladona berries and get high. The campers break out a bottle of liquor on the trail.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The film is about a group of people slowly going insane on a trail in the woods. Although there are almost no jump scares, the overall tone of the film is very unsettling and disturbing. The death scenes are fairly violent and they are often muted by the constant sound of 40s era music, giving the film a very surreal feeling, which only makes it more unsettling.
