During the opening monologue, Red introduced his mother, who was seated in the audience. Due to personal reasons, Patty Andrews did not appear with her sisters on this program, which led Red to joking about her absence and even doing his own Andrews Sisters imitation, joining with Maxine and Laverne in singing, "Roll Out the Barrel." The premise of the sketch was that all three Andrews Sisters had to appear for their nightclub act or the club manager was going to fire them. See more »
