Storyline

Jerry opens the program with his rendition of "When a Red, Red Robin Comes Bob Bob Bobbin' Along" then clowns with comedian Phil Foster who makes a surprise visit. Sam Cooke sings two of his greatest hits. Phil and Jerry performed an extended comedy routine after which Phil interacts with the Marquis Chimps who then perform a series of stunts on their own. After Jerry does a brief monologue about children, opera star Patrice Munsel sings a song from Porgy and Bess and a Arlen/Mercer standard, then Jerry interviews her. After a break, Jerry interviews Cassius Clay who then reads a poem. Senor Wences performs an extended comedy routine and Jerry closes the show with two more songs, including his version of the famous Puccini aria "Nessun Dorma". Written by David Bassler
