  • Ben's delight over Mel's willingness to meet her again is threatened by Carbo's indiscretion and his own curiosity, unable not to sneakily follow her to a dinner with studly soccer pro Shannon. The family's reaction vary widely when told Julie is pregnant, but too old for safe childbirth. Brooding over the matter brings Ted even closer to Marjorie. Nathan pushes Sammy to stick to the break-up with dad and refuse an expensive gift to avoid a new dependency from her ma.
