Storyline

James discovers he has a ten-year-old son, Sidney, whose mother has just died, but he is reluctant to remove the boy from his boarding school, feeling it would unsettle him. Dorcas argues that Sidney's place is with his father and they fall out over the matter. Laura hurts Alf by telling him she saw Nan kissing another boy. Margaret annoys Thomas by asking Robert, whom he sees as an atheist, to give her away at their wedding. Written by don @ minifie-1

Quotes

Adult Laura: The Bible tells us that to everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heaven, and it felt as though there would be a time for each of us also. For those of us who had been searching for something - a role to inhabit - a purpose in life would find it. But finding something does not always mean you get to keep it. For there is a time to weep as well as a time to laugh. A time to mourn as well as a time to dance.
