Pretty and Simple
fake_moviestar5 May 2021
As with all BL drama's out of Korea, this one is in the super short format of 8 episodes at 10 minutes each. The story feels complete, despite its short format. The dancing scenes were really pretty and the couple felt rather mature, which was different and nice. The leads had chemistry, and I liked how everything was tied up in the end. However, I felt that the story as a whole lacked tension, which made it feel a touch boring. Overall for a BL it was about a 7, but in comparison with full length dramas it was about a 45. A cute quick watch.

It had potential

It's sad to say that this actually could've been way better but it failed itself by throwing in a last-minute conflict and trying to resolve it in under four minutes.

I was going to give this a 7 out of 10 but that ending was way too messy and so it lost a star. It's too bad because the story was progressing well then all of a sudden they threw in this tiff that cheapened the relationship of our leads and ruined the whole feel of the series.

What a bad way to go out.

SMH.

Could have been better?

It was a good drama, sweet and short. But maybe it had more potential than was delivered.

Acting was fine enough!

The last episode was twisted and turned more than the entire series itself, lol.

If I want to watch a Korean BL any day, I'll choose "To My Star" or "Where Your Eyes Linger" more than this but that doesn't mean its not worth the watch.

I felt that its not as good as compared to them but it did justice just fine enough to the time length it runs for, so you can watch it if you like dance and want to explore a different kind of relationship.

More like a debtor and creditor, :)

Underrated series🤧

I love how korean bl drama developed so far by this series. There were not awkward scene between the main roles. It's so natural and heartwarming. The stories were also focused on the main lead, how their feeling developed and the pinky promise was the cutest things. So recommended to watch😍

This story is so beautiful, heartwarming and tender. Both heroes are nice and beauty, and I was really happy about end.

Second best BL produced in Korean on the list of my personal favorites. Shi On and Jin Soek played their characters really well. The theme of the story, with contemporary dance incorporated into the routine of one of the characters, intrigued me to watch this short drama to begin with. Their chemistry was adorable on screen. I didn't expect much from it yet the narrative made place in my heart. A romance casually crops between two men and no homophobic elements in the background, saramsuropkae. It might contain a dash of an adolescent fanfic due to the professions and nature of the two characters. Sometimes a bowl of ramyeon at a street vendor is more memorable than a serving at Michelin. Not an idol drama, no flashy attires, no adrenaline rush or twisted melodramatic plot, no glamorous product endorsements, not from a renowned production house in the industry but..... Worth the Watch.

Not Good Enough

Korean Drama " You make me dance " had potential, but it failed to deliver.

The drama had a messy pace that was also accompanied by an irrational plot and that's not due to the whole credit creditor plot prompt. The characters acted irrationally most of the time, something that would never have happened normally. Like the boy-dancer getting mad at the guy who was trying to help him!! And not to his bullies, whom he called friends until he didn't, in a blink of an episode. He actually was, overall, an annoying character that acted like a baby most of the time.

In addition, the drama left a lot of things out, like the story with the mother. That would have been justified by the length of the drama, but, the drama included a lot of scenes that weren't really necessary (see the photoshoot sequence). The bully plotline was unconcluded as well.

Other than that, the radio theme was interesting and the couple was okay, but their love story was rushed.

So, overall, 3 out of 10.

amazing story writing!!!

This was amazing, if you're looking for something short, but meaningful this is a must watch!

I love the foreshadowing in the story. The Bromance was fantastic everything in the series had meaning to it. Although the dances could've been a teensy bit better, it was still good! In their own sense, they're both trying to overcome some thing and they did it together. I was nervous at the end with a little time remaining, but he pulled through, and although it's short the romance doesn't feel rushed. But if you're also looking for another drama to watch I'd highly recommend "my love mixup" OMG that one's good too!

It made me not dance

I've heard a lot of praise about kdramas, but I feel like I haven't come across one yet where all that wonderful talk is applied. You make me dance had something in it, I have to admit. A beautiful winter setting, a beautiful dance choreography, a beautifully slowly developing relationship. But... there's a but. The chemistry between the main characters was unmistakable and despite the snow and winter we could see how things sparkled between them. The boys played their roles brilliantly, they have to be given that, but something about the whole thing bothered me. I felt like they were stretching it too much. I know that something like this is completely natural for kdramas and I don't think that was the problem. I'm sorry I can't give a higher rating, but it wouldn't be honest if I did.

Good acting, bad writing

Warning: Spoilers
I wanted to like this story. The actors played their parts well. The office kiss was one of the best I've seen in a BL drama so far. But the further, the more ridiculous the script and dialogue seemed, even to me - a person who is ready to turn a blind eye to ridiculous moments if the drama is otherwise good. Honestly, for the first time I have such a strong feeling of the absurdity of what is happening.

As other commentators have written, the story had potential. A fresh idea in the form of a relationship between a debtor and a collector, who at the same time dreamed of being a dancer and a pianist, which made them essentially an ideal couple. I expected that during the audition, one of them would play the piano, and the other would dance, which would be romantic and logical, as the dreams of both heroes come true (the collector at the beginning of the series wanted to quit to do what he loves - apparently playing the piano).

I also agree with other commentators that a lot of the plot details weren't revealed enough due to the short format of the series. And the conflict at the end was far-fetched, after which the happy ending felt silly.
