Chuck is reunited with his long absent father Steve Bartowski, who is none other then Orion, and accepts reluctantly to return for Ellie's wedding but gets a cold welcome from her, unlike gentleman Devon. It turns out software tycoon Ted Roark, who got rich by stealing Steve's brilliant inventions and is about to launch a free operating system, suspect to spread a Fulcrum virus worldwide. Both Bartowskis are to infiltrate Roark Instruents HQ, Chuck as new employee, to prevent the launch for the government and, as their private project, try to remove the Intersect from Chuck's brain.
