Pure brilliance
abbyaprilmom19 June 2021
I'm a high school English teacher, and I annoy the heck out of my students by teaching them to appreciate movies and videos as art. This episode of Chuck is pure art. I cried, not at the plot points, but at the brilliance of the writers. The ending is perfection. A beautiful homage to one of the best movies I've ever seen with "Chuck's" absurdist comic flair. This show is just amazing, but this episode is worth my streaming bill for the whole year.

Amazing episode with some of the best moments of Chuck (esp. w/ Chuck and Sarah)

Warning: Spoilers
IT HAPPENS AT LAST! Chuck and Sarah finally fully express their feelings in an intimate moment where they share a passionate kiss. It was beautiful, especially with Bon Iver's "Creature Fear" played on beat with them. Funniest moment of all time was when CHuck runs into the bathroom to grab a condom but instead finds a note from Morgan! LOL

Anyways, this episode was amazing in how it had all the elements of Chuck put together so nicely. Comedy, action, and love: they were all there. The big moment of Chuck and Sarah only added onto making this episode even more satisfying. Easily one of my favorite episodes of the entire Chuck series.

was the intersect really... Warning: Spoilers
We have the second story happening at Buy More, Emmett, really don't like, and what he did to big Mike and Morgan, OK all the others too, was beyond low, where if the show had more of him would have pulled it down, so glad they had the character shot in the head.

Love the first real kiss between Chuck and Sarah, and the note, but at least they are starting though will take a while before they get to this "spot" again with all they go through in coming epis.

Devon finds out chuck has been working with the government with a gun pointed at him by Casey, said gun kicked out of hand by Sarah and Chuck coming in. Think he can handle, not easily but will. Funny though Casey really feeling left out when they tie him to the chair, when catches up with them shocks them with saying so, as they thought he was breaking his word about the rescue of Steven.

They are. seem to rescue, but end up caught as Chuck doesn't stay in car, but of course Ted was going to find them and kill them despite what he told Steven, and the rebuild, well not what Ted wanted, was to "remove" it from son...but he was looking at too, so as Chuck says he feels diff and lighter, think was repressing and removing the bad out of it from the what I think of as 5 "uploads" (the 1 as a child not seen on show yet), so don't think it really gone as we learn Steven has 1 too and it would have removed his then too but he has learned most times how to use and control it.

Funny way Morgan quits Buy More, homage to certain movie(s), and "sticking it" to Emmett by "rubbing in his face" he don't control Morgan anymore...

Chuck "done" with CIA/NSA anything government, Casey with his promotion and Sarah not fired.

Chuck really wasn't trying to let his sister down, so love the way he comes home and Ellie is like what/where were/are you, Chuck getting your wedding present, opening door wider and enter Steven, their dad...

Happy ending Fulcrum dealt severe blow...But Ted, alive, coming to get them...

Aces Charles

Warning: Spoilers
The "B" story about the Buy More was why I gave a lower rating. The whole episode should've revolved around Chuck finding his father. I really, really liked Casey's comments about their 3 mistakes, the last one being that they didn't ask him for his help. I thought Rourk should've died but didn't realize how crucial he'd be to the last episode of the season. Glad Steven, Chuck and Ellie's dad, got back to Ellie so he could be at the wedding. We should've known the intersect wouldn't be gone for long.... Colonel Casey did good at the end supporting his team instead of burying Sara and Chuck. The best is yet to come.

Splendid episode with a touch of bad writing
neil-walker-safc27 June 2020
Warning: Spoilers
You need to watch this and the last episode together.

This episode is beautifully paced, very funny, and full of references to other movies.

Finally, we get chuck and Sarah together. I appreciate its down to time, but to me the whole, let's kiss for just 5 seconds then I'll go away looking for a condom seems completely wrong and against the grain, cheapening the whole moment we've been waiting 2 years for. Having watched the entire series you get the impression the writers know how to tug on the emotions but fail on the follow through.
