The first official short with a Cartoon Cartoon name, known as Cartoon Cartoons or Cartoon Cartoon Weekend since July and November 1997 instead of The What A Cartoon! Show (What A Cartoon!) original name from March 1997. Later in June 2000, Cartoon Cartoon Weekend was renamed as The Cartoon Cartoon Show/The Big Pick.
This is one of the only two Cartoon Network Studios production to be co-produced by Curious Pictures, a New York animation studio who brought us KaBlam! (1996). However, it was created by Tom Warburton who later made Codename: Kids Next Door (2002), co-produced by Cartoon Network Studios in general.
Despite have being produced by Cartoon Network Studios in association with Curious Pictures instead of Hanna-Barbera, it features the latter's logo at the end of this short.
