Anytime we as horror fans read the words "From the Producer Of The Visit, The Purge, And Insidious", we tend to take note. Even though that doesn't necessarily mean much, because it's not the writer or director, however we're still intrigued.

Bryan Cranston is making an anthology show based on the works of sci-fi icon Philip K. Dick. We may have just found his first co-star for the series. While chatting with Anthony Mackie about All the Way (in which Mackie plays Martin Luther King, Jr. opposite Cranston’s Lbj), I mentioned the recently announced anthology series since Mackie has some Philip K. Dick on his resume with 2011 movie The Adjustment Bureau. Mackie seems to have a genuine enthusiasm for the writer whose stories have led to tons of screen adaptations, Blade Runner, Total Recall, Minority Report, and The Man in the High Castle among them. “Adjustment Bureau reigns as one of my favorite movies I’ve done,” Mackie told me. “Philip K. Dick’s short stories are just amazing and from another time of writing. You used to sit and read those stories, and they would take you to a whole other world. »

“The tinsmith forgot to give me a heart” ~Tinman, The Wizard of Oz
What Does it mean to be human? Is it our heart, tirelessly pumping away to circulate fresh, oxygenated blood to our starving cells? Is it our brain, with its myriad neural connections that give us consciousness, reasoning and emotion? In 1952, Tezuka Osamu’s classic Astro Boy introduced us to an existential conundrum: a boy robot with the ability to feel. Despite having neither heart nor brain, he showed kindness, compassion and empathy – distinctly human traits – and continuously fought to protect humanity against evil. It is worth mentioning that the word ‘robot’ itself derives from the Czech robota, meaning forced labour, but in many Slavic languages it simply means ‘to work’. What’s strange about all the »

This is pretty cool.
Pedro Pascal, the Chilean actor who's made a name for himself on shows like Game Of Thrones, Narcos, and will be re-teaming with his The Adjustment Bureau co-star Matt Damon in the upcoming film The Great Wall, is joining the cast of Kingsman: The Golden Circle. The exceedingly versatile actor made, perhaps, his biggest splash as Oberyn Martell in Season 4 of Game Of Thrones, and is said to be playing American spy Jack Daniels in Matthew Vaughn's sequel to the R-rated spy romp, Kingsman: The Secret Service.

Despite clouds and the threat of rain, San Francisco spreads gloriously before director George Nolfi and the cast and crew of “Birth of the Dragon.” From their perch high atop Twin Peaks, they are shooting the climactic shot of the “kung fu fable” — their Steve McQueen-ish hero riding his motorcycle off to a new life.
When the sun shoots suddenly through the gloom, Nolfi shouts for another take: “Get the motorcycle down here! There’s light on the city!” And, indeed, just as doubles for Billy Magnussen and his girlfriend (played by Jingjing Qu) roar past, sunlight splashes across the panorama and the golden dome of City Hall behind them.
“That was great, right?” the usually more reserved director Nolfi calls across the hillside. “That was bad ass!”

Back in April it was announced that Matthew Vaughn (X-Men: First Class, Kingsman: The Secret Service) had entered talks with 20th Century Fox to direct the studio’s reboot of Flash Gordon, and now screenwriter Mark Protosevich (Thor) has announced on his Facebook page that he’s set to rewrite the script.
“I can’t wait to get started and if you’re curious about the take? I’m not saying a word,” states Protosevich (via HitFix). “All I’ll say is this – it will be nothing like any version of Flash Gordon you’ve seen.
