Sorry, group, but this new fellow has, a) no sex appeal, and b) no humour in his eyes. In addition, I feel he has no style, or else the editor cropped too much of the elegant stuff. Secondly, I was extremely put out by the addition of gratuitous violence, including screaming, torture, drowning, etc. This is not the James Bond of old, where Q concocted wonderful tools to help James get out of a predicament. Torture had no place in those wonderful movies. Enuf, she said. I would never recommend this film to others, unless all they are interested in is beating people to a pulp and adding girlie-screams from behind some closed door. A very poor effort, and sexist to boot.

I agree with the other review. This could have been much more. There is some good footage and information regarding this character. But, it seemed to me that every 3- 5 minutes someone was kicking in with " this man had style and flair and was notorious ,or gambling is addictive" over and over again. I feel it they cut out all this extra "fluff" it would have been 20 -25 minutes long with the focus on this pirate with panache.
