Very clever, great acting and comic timing from both leads.. I have no idea what's going on, but I have my suspicions, if you think of it rather like the British TV series, 'Life On Mars' and 'Ashes to Ashes' I don't think I'd be far wrong.
Give it time, and enjoy it as it is, and give it time to reveal the whole plot.
I wanted to know what happened in 5 years. Well, here's one story.

It's hard to write a review without 'spilling the beans' so much, but I have to so I can review how brilliant I think this Marvel Universe series is on Disney+.
Those who "know" the comic series's story focused on Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch, and Vision get this.
It's also done well for folks like me -- who did see only the Marvel films that help explain much of what we see like "The Age of Ultron," "Avengers Infinity War," and "Avengers End Game" -- and that's about it as I am not that fan who can get into the deep-deep depths of all this (like Kevin Smith). Those three films help connect this series big time (and maybe a dash of Thor).
You will get an idea of WandaVision, and its connections after you watch the first episode. For me, it was a cute little 50s sitcom retread with two of the Avengers. Um, say WHAT!?!? At first, I thought, 'how cutesy can this Disney-fy thing GET?' And "Disney+ had to Disney-fy the Avengers even more...yuk". But the brilliance of WandaVision is a look or a continuation into what has already been presented.
I am writing this after episode 4, and I have to tell you that it's turning out to be a look into an unfortunate bout in Wanda's life. That's from this woman's point of view, as I can understand her (and secretly, wish I had the power to this too with a great guy I knew).
But from the Avengers point fan point of view, this makes me think - how strong is the Scarlet Witch?!!?? Here's the thing - we don't know. Here's what I think this Disney+ series is going to do: tell us.

No doubt, I had to go back to "The Age of Ultron," which is a long but good film and (at least to me) connects strongly with this. Then I watched "Infinity Wars" and "End Game" again (I've seen it many times, btw, and can watch it many more) after watching WandaVision and got more of my suspicions addressed. A few light bulbs went off and made me want to keep watching as I put the pieces together, looking more at characters that are appearing, etc.
I do like the first three episodes of the settings for WandaVision, and here's a spoiler: in "The Age of Ultron," there is an explanation of what we see.
So yeah, I'm going to keep watching with great interest. I am not going to peek at the comics of this story for spoilers while it's tempting. I want to stay with this series on Disney+ and watch its progress. It's entertaining; it's well done. Watching Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany reprise their roles 'out of the Avengers sort' with sitcom comedy, to begin with, has been fun to watch. It's a bit clumsy, but that's on purpose too, and as this series goes on, I foresee the comedy quickly turning to drama and onto tragedy.

The family was getting bored and nervous with it, but as long-time Marvel fans we hoped it was on it's way. Wish they had better lines for Kat Denning, she went from being super funny in all her past shows/movies to so-so; clearly needing to give her better parts and more leeway to work her stuff.... ( guys you have a great actor here, let her have input and some room to make the magic happen... she's one of the best actors with comedy, so don't restrict her with blah stuff like quips and dumb jokes.
So much depth within limited storytelling makes this a maaterpiece

A lot of the lower reviews on here are clearly by people who don't understand how the MCU works, don't understand the connections to past movies, or the references to the comic book history of specific characters, (including SWORD (Space/Cosmic S.H.I.E.L.D Division). Hydra has a lot to do with it, and they are infamous for brainwashing.
Wanda is one of the most powerful mutants in all of Marcel, and her life was destroyed by Ultron, when he killed her brother, and Thanos, when he killed Vision. After Endgame, she was left with nothing.
Now, I'm not sure exactly what's causing this fake world, but I have my theories and it has me very excited for the rest of the episodes that will spread throughout every other show coming, and movies, eventually leading up to Secret Wars much later down the road.

As the show has only just begun I can't judge too harshly, i am glad they released the first two episodes together as the second episode really showcased what the. show will be like. I absolutely love how they make use of the camera. it does an excellent job at showing us when something is truly wrong. I'm very interested asto what will transpire.

I watched the first 3 episodes and I am gonna be honest it was GREAT !!! Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany nailed it . The great thing about this is it is a very good mystery . The first three episodes has a commercial which contains easter eggs .
But there is a small problem with this is that for some fans who watched this has no idea what is happening . For me I thing this was perfect it not only has a good mystery but also it makes us care about these characters a lot . Overall the first three episodes are GREAT , I think wandavision should at least get nominated for the emmy's

Great acting from Elizabeth Olsen and I watched only 2 episodes. You won't find comedy like Big Bang Theory or HIMYM in this but I do felt good watching the first two episodes. There is this mystery that'll hook you up to the series, and I think by the time the series ends it'll became an action packed one.

Without giving anything away, perhaps rewatch the 1st 2 episodes with the mindset of .... no spoiler here .... "This is the Marvel Universe". Seen any those characters / actors before in the Marvel Universe ? When we 1st see something in color ...any familiarity as to the color scheme ? Re-watch the TV Commercials for more clues. Think about why they have no memory of rings, weddings, where they moved from. Think Marvel meets Pleasantville

Had to get through all the sitcom madness which should have been 1/2 an episode but is into the 4th now, with some switching up finally. Finally some good Marvel tv. Terrible writing to make it go on so long with no signs of hope of it progressing to a real show until the 4th. I'm fully on board now, hope it didn't kill the ratings and desire to continue for everyone else.

3 episodes as I am writing this, I don't really understand the people that gives 1 star and comments what is the point of the series when the series is barely developing? Also, when the trailers clearly showed how the series were going to be presented at first, so really? You will be hooked, definitely! This is in part taking some aspects of the Vision comics and some others as well, but as we know, MCU doesn't fully base themselves on the comics, so do not expect to se the same thing of the comics in here, however, I am loving it so far!

Everything about this show is fresh, innovative, dramatic, funny and heartwarming. Now while Wanda is one of one my favorite characters in the MCU it seems that people not really in the fandom were touched and have since become fans!
I am so glad to see that this experiment worked so well. The concept was unique but it all tied in so beautifully. I loved how they presented Wanda's trauma with also exploring a little back story post blip. Bringing in new characters like Monica Rambeau, Agnes wink wink and Darsey. It was also fun to see familiar faces like Jimmy Woo.
This show had so many surprises and twists and turns. If you love magic and witches mixed with sci-fi super hero drama then you will love this show.
But you really need to have watched some of the MCU movies to really understand what's happening. I couldn't imagine watching this without all of that history but I guess having that mystery might entice people to watch anyway!

So I agree it was slow to begin with and they can learn from their release schedule on this one ( maybe release 4 episodes if you are going to do this mystery thing - the public has short attentions spans), but now that we are 5 episodes in this thing is rocking it. So many marvel Easter eggs, returning characters and intriguing new characters this series is making some serious waves for the MCU. I can't wait for the next episode. Huge kudos to the creators of this show for making something different and unexpected. Give it a chance and binge the first half, it gets better - trust me.

I like the characters, I just don't understand why they did it this way, I really am trying to like it, but...

Truly a masterpiece. A must see. The actors and special effects, the relationship between Wanda and Vision. All perfectly played with a lot of talent. A very good surprise because at the beginning the plot and the interest of the story were not obvious. But once started the story gets you. .

The show is funny , keeps you hooked , dramatic , innovative and is a complete Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch show . She is outstanding in this one . We feel her pain and grief.
The concept is different .There are many characters who are new and impressive and many already existing in the MCU who we enjoy seeing again. Nobody seems out of place.
My issue is only with the way they have ended the show (last episode) felt like it could have been better.
If you have been watching and following the MCU for a while then this show is a must watch.
