Study in Brown was one of the most cool Soundies I've seen yet!

This was another Soundie I watched on YouTube. It features Reg Kehoe and His Marimba Queens which is mostly several women (one of whom, Fern Marie, he married) on the marimbas with Kehoe on the vibraphone. An exception is one man on a bass which he slaps furiously on, stealing the show. His name is Frank DeNunzio Sr. There's lots of info on this particular musical short on Wikipedia under the band heading as well as on the way the various "music videos" from the '40s were originally presented on the various Panorams (film jukeboxes) in restaurants, bars, and bus or train stations all over the country. Besides mentioning the "mirror images" that was used, the article also told about how various angles were filmed after the recording was done. I highly recommend reading it as I also do watching this Soundie on many YouTube screens (where you'll get both the forward and backward images).
