Sorry this is not really a review, rather a request. I read the book many years ago and again quite recently and I really enjoyed it. The story is very poignant for me as my ancestors worked in the coal mines in Fife before the turn of the 20th century. I never saw the TV series, which I think was televised in 1979.
As it is set near my hometown in Scotland and my maiden name is Cameron, I feel a personal connection to the story. I would love to see it but all efforts to find it, have come to nothing so far. Is it possible to watch it online or would it be available on DVD eventually?
