This fifty-five minute interview with Juan Piquer Simon is without question everything you could possibly want in regards to an interview with the filmmaker of a cult movie. The director pretty much spends the entire running time talking about his 1982 film PIECES, which was hit when released and continues to gain new fans. The director talks about what got him interested in the movie and how he ended up getting into directing. From here the main focus is of course PIECES as we learn pretty much everything from how the money was raised to what control he had over the picture and then various production stories. These stories include the cast, the sexuality of the picture and of course the gory deaths. If you're a fan of the director or the film in question then this is without a doubt an entertaining interview that is going to tell you pretty much everything you need to know. Towards the end of the interview Simon talks about some of his other horror movies like SLUGS.
